this is... weirdly soothing? no idea how to explain my opinion on this

Could be instrument choice, the midis don't really have a hard sound to them, 1:06 to 1:22 is also very white noise like, which many people find soothing.

It could also be a tempo thing, I think I intentionally made this one a lower tempo because I usually do higher tempos.

sometimes the piano is either TOO quiet or TOO loud, so, yeah, try to work with volumes of your tracks, mastering, et cetera et cetera... other than that, it's pretty decent.
